The secret furry
More DnD related stuff, yay!
So what's that thing? Actually it's Lorenzo. It's a nifty little thing I came up with to have an excuse for my character not participating in the story when I can't make it to a session. However since I actually have a really good track record when it comes to DnD (literally only missed out one session in the first campaign cause I had a friend visiting from another country, so I obviously spent time with him instead of playing) the DM suggested we introduce this form earlier, bonus was that I got to see everyone's reaction which was a mixture of "wtf?" and "awww".
So I still haven't explained what exactly this is, Lorenzo is under the influence of a Baneful Polymorph curse (at least I think that's what Furi named it). So at random times and for a random duration he transforms into this fluffy thing, he has absolutely no control over it, he can only sense it happening a split second before he turns. In this form he is not quite himself anymore, his mentality changes and he generally behaves like a wild animal, it seems like a personality on its own, needless to say he's also completely useless in combat. So in case I ever miss a session the group will have a temporary NPC animal companion. That is unless he gets scared of the others and runs off.
Other facts:
- the form doesn't resemble any specific animal
- it is a rodent
- makes squeaky noises
- any animal communication spells don't work right, mostly just transmitting feelings rather than words
- is about the size of a guinea pig
- very fluffy
- Lorenzo doesn't remember anything that happens while in that form, it's like blacking out
So there you have it. This image was done a few weeks ago, but again, it was a secret.
