Thought of as the work-horse of the Asgard fleet; the Nidavellir-class multi-role transport is far from the grandest ship constructed by the scientifically gifted race, but without it, the Asgard would not have been able to spread their people to a total of three galaxies across their civilization’s history. Its primary role is that of a cargo and construction ship; counter-intuitive to many non-Asgard: as it is in fact one of the smallest ships in the fleet. This is no hindrance to its task: as instead of conventional cargo space, the Nidavellir uses a massive array of Asgard teleportation beams to both take on, and off-load cargo, personnel, or even entire sections of colonies, star-bases or larger starships under construction, storing them as data within the ships proportionally massive computer core.
In addition to its role as a transport and construction vessel: the Nidavellir is relatively spacious: with its main forward hull containing most of its core systems, command deck, controls for its beam systems, as well as crew quarters and accomidations. The lower section also features a small docking bay or garage in the rare event of precious or unstable cargo that cannot be dematerialized, or when hosting smaller vessels. The twin booms which link the primary hull to its aft drive section also include a total of twelve configurable bays: enabeling the ship to function as a small science vessel, or serve other functions.
The Nidavellir class boasts an incredibly high power output for a ship its size: with its twin outrigger-contained power cores, each capable of running the major systems of the ship on its own. This allows the ship to function normally even if one must be shut downf or repairs, and under normal conditions, both power plants run at optimal rather than maximum output. In emergency circumstances: these outriggers can be ejected, protecting the ship in the event of catastrophic failure. Such reliability was deemed necessary; since power must be maintained to the ships computer core to ensure that patterns stored within it do not degrade due to quantum drift.
Though combat is not the ships primary function: it does also serve the role of a corvette or escort craft alongside larger Asgard starships. Like most Asgard craft: it is protected by powerful energy shields, explosion suppression fields, and an extensive electronic warfare defense system. The ships armaments consist of two medium-weight Asgard Ion cannons mounted on the ships “roll bar”, and two twin-mount pulse-cannon turrets, used for precision targeting of smaller vessels, or for point defense. In addition: inventive commanders have been known to use the ships teleportation beam array as a weapon against un-shielded targets: rendering an enemy harmless within the ships computer core.

Lig as part of his Stargate OC ideas.
First upload of some of my space-ship designs here; might bring in more at some point.
Quibbles/changes to consider:
- I'd originally wanted the ship to be a bit more narrow, but it widened out while adding details, I might thin it out again
- May add more windows or detailing to the primary hull: as it's a bit textureless right now
- Find a better "sci-fi" font for the labeling
Considering the show: might actually be perfectly accurate for this to change its look a bit considering how many times the O'Neill and beliskner class ships changed their detailing.
