The First had dodged it, and then grabbed his shoulder and arm to drive him into the wall. Matthew's head was sore and buzzing from the blow, but he got up again, swinging. The first just knocked his arm aside and shoved him to the ground by his shoulder. Matthew hurried to get back up, but The First kicked his arm and he fell again, scraping his hand. The First picked him up, growling in his face; Matthew tried hard to break free, grabbing hard at his hands to pull them away, and shouting over and over "HELP! HELP!"
"Matthew?..." Brian entered his thoughts.
Matthew still kept fighting to get free until the first threw him down the alley. Matthew yipped in pain as the scraping on his hand started to bleed. He sat up trying to hold back the pain, but has he tried to get to his feet, The First pounced on him and held him down by the shoulders. Matthew tried to get free, but was paralyzed in horror as it stared down at him, death gazing at his soul as it raised a claw then plunged it into his arm.
Matthew screamed in pain as its claws tore into the veins of his arm, struggled and fought as much as he could against what was killing him, but The First still would not budge till it was done. it stood up and kicked his face then walked a few steps away. He bit his lip and tried to look at where The First went.
It didn't go far, it was writing something on the wall.
Matthew slowly got up, and made a silent walk toward The First and what it was doing.
"Matthew," Brian said as he got closer "Don't try to fight this thing."
Matthew still moved forward, trying to see what The First was writing, but it all looked like nonsense.
"It was able to lift you off the ground, and know what you were going to do." Brian continued "I don't think this is just a part of your head. The First is much stronger than you."
Matthew wasn't listening though. he was just trying to ready what it had wrote in his blood.
The First turned around to face Matthew, licking it's hand clean of the blood.
Seeing those eyes again, filled him with dread, and he ran for the way out of the ally.
The First, however, still caught up him and he just threw him back deeper into the ally, and, before he could get back up, The First was already right by him, and it lifted him up above him.
Matthew looked down at The First in terror, its maw opened slowly, with nothing inside but an abyss. But if he was gonna die, he just wanted to see the message he'd leave by his corpse. He looked a the bloody wall.
It still looked like scrabbled words, even less so as the blood was dripping away.
And then, he fell, flopping on his back on the concrete. Matthew got up frantically and looked around. The First was gone, but what he's done was still there. His hand was still horribly scrapped, his head was sore from when he hit the wall, but his arm wasn't clawed into.
"What happened?" Matthew asked "What does it want?"
"I dunno.." Brian said "But I find one thing curious, he attacked you AFTER you wanted to talk about our condition."
