Corryn Casnar, vagabond mercenary and unsung hero of his time. Were it not for his tenacity in his efforts to remove the threat of an immortal thief from usurping the throne of his people, the cirran may very well have been enslaved and controlled by such a tyrant. Unfortunately, during a climactic battle with the thief (an amulet-bearing garion* youth named Thraddon), the land opened beneath him and was swallowed alive, presumed dead. Prior to this battle he alerted the throne of Thraddon's plans, resulting in an immediate defense that caught Thraddon by surprise and resulted in his very own enslavement far beneath the surface of the very citadel he wished to corrupt and usurp.
As for Corryn, none have seen him since. A few centuries pass before an advanced vessel of technology emerges for the sake of prophetical fulfillment. This "thing" calls itself "Longcoat," carrying with it a rather familiar weapon...
Or, uh, something like that, anyway.

*Edit - Gah, just noticed I didn't explain what a "garion" is. The garion are pretty much humans in every way. They originally ruled the continent of Kantire, but when they grew too power-hungry and oppressive, the cirran (Corryn's race), mammon (Komari's race), and the stratus (sky-dwelling humanoids resembling biblical angels) drove them out before anything could be done about it. The cirran were given control of Kantire under a sort of "Lordship," which is like similar to a monarchy. The garion still exist, but they are scattered, mutated, or at the very least living out ordinary lives with no hard feelings.

.... Your descriptions are so poetic! This description is a work of art on its own, imo ;0; I loved reading it. :D
*BIG hugs!!* Thank you so much, again, for commissioning me <333333
Gah, I just now realized that the details I put into the sword handle didn't really show up in the scan.. e.e

Dark colors can be finicky~ But it's all good. :3 Perhaps I'll have you draw Longcoat in the future, whom has yet to be drawn. Longcoat is pretty much a cybernetic Corryn (the fissure he fell into did kill him, but a subterranean race of people preserved him and rebuilt him over time), but he has some particular inspiration behind him - namely the character "Asgard" of Wild ARMs 3. :3
Anyway, aye, I'll be sure to commission you further in the future should anymore deals pop up. :3

Oh wow, that sounds incredible ! o.o Now I am reeeeaaally curious about more details....
Eeeeeeee ! Thank you SO much! That makes me feel VERY happy to hear! :D :D :D *EXCITED already! 8D* Hmm ! What sort of budget do you have as far as this is concerned, if I may ask? I was thinking about opening up for some "experimental" comics.. I'm not sure if that is what you'd be looking for, though. XD

Well, uh, I'm sort of a cheap-ass. There's a reason why pretty much all of my commissions are around the $10 or $15 range, so comics are out of my league~ :P
I'm always up for sketches and concept sketches though. I have a vast plethora of characters itching to leap out of my mind and onto paper. :P

Ah, ok! Just wondering. XD Thank you for letting me know! You aren't a cheap-ass, silly. 8D heehee
Oooh! HMMM *thinks* I'll have to figure out what sort of neat-o cheapies I could offer next. :D Maybe some all-ink sketches again, but done on illustration board so I can put some watercolor on top or uh.. I dunno! Just thinking out loud. XD
What would you like to see? :D
