Ok for my speculation either the kid was Battu originally because his name was a five letter word OR the kid made Battu because of the box he is holding cause his parents said "He INVENTED something else today!".......

Maybe is because I was expecting a background based on her alien origin instead of another story of a human turn to beast and sex change like many of your comics,something less ''furry'', something I can take serious.

But that just me, I'm just a reader so I have to wait and see what's next. xD

While I like complex background stories and a good tf.
I was kind of hoping battu had always been battu our rodent.
This story seemed like it was in it's own universe, giving a sense of wonder and complexity.
I was always trying to figure out the cultures and relationships.
so knowing that humans are a part of the background story, seems to kind of break down the story telling a little.
Kind of like finding out that the Land of Oz was alway Earth, but in the future (not a spoiler, heh).
When I heard the story had humans and earth in it, my first guess was that Battu was a Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch), a created creature having to find their own identity from scratch. Not a human escaping their hard circumstance. Which can be a good plot, just not expected in an already complex plot as it's background story.
