“I’m so bored. Why did I decide to take a vacation again?” She muttered to herself as she stared off into the distance. At least she had a gorgeous view of the cherry blossoms and city lights from here…
Whisper finally had some downtime from her job and decided to take full advantage of it with a two week vacation at her summer home. Nowadays with her work schedule, she barely had time to come out to Kyoto, but it was still one of her favorite places to come to unwind while enjoying the scenery and people. Settling down for the evening, she prepared some sushi and sake. It was surprisingly cool outside that evening, a pleasant change from the stifling humidity and heat that had been hitting the area all week- the perfect excuse for her to rest out on the balcony and take in the sights before heading to bed. While part of her was bored out of her mind from being rested for so long, she knew she better enjoy the downtime while she could. Whisper knew as soon as she returned back to work, she had a queue full of clients to tend to- some of which were very impatient and didn’t like to be kept waiting for long. Not that they had a choice in the matter: she was one of the best kunoichi in the region, and had the fearsome reputation to back up her title. People knew it and feared her…and that’s why she had a constant supply of customers that flocked to her with their “problems.” Nonetheless, this vacation was long overdue; she needed a break from the constant hacking and slashing, and from dealing with idiots- and not just the targets she took out, but some of her clients as well.
Even though she was on vacation, her sword restlessly leaned against the railing, as if she expected something to happen at any moment….or so she wished. Unfortunately, it was quiet and calm right now-that and she rather not draw any attention to herself if she could help it. Kyoto was one of the one places she kept a low key profile in regards to her profession…a hideout if you will for when she needed a place to escape and just be herself- and she preferred to keep it that way.
Stirring a bit of sake from the ochoko, she dreamily gazed past the florescent lights of the city toward the nearby mountains. It had been a long time since she climbed them…too long. Maybe she would go hiking before she left town. Or maybe hit the beach. Then again, it had been a while since she viewed the nearby gardens and temple…
“Or maybe…I can just stay right here and take in the beauty, just a bit longer...” she sipped on the remainder of her drink and slowly made her way to bed-
Holy crap, it’s been a while since I posted anything on here! Sorry for the silence but I’ve been busy doing adult, responsible things! Well working and trying to stay cool.
This piece is sort of a birthday gift I treated myself to a few weeks ago but never got around to posting. It’s no secret I love Asian culture. So I figured why not have Whisper take a short vacation to one of her favorite areas for a little rest and relaxation…at least one of us deserves a proper vacation this year; it might as well be her I guess, lol.
Huge thanks to Gofa for this absolutely gorgeous piece! I think they enjoyed working on this piece more than I was to commission them, haha. Absolutely wonderful artist to work with- from start to finish: highly recommended~

My of my and yes, this is true. One who does truly listens, observes and thinks is TRULY DANGEROUS. Whisper fits that very much. I do like this picure and vignette as well. Even for her, it is best to have downtime, and it is best to not think of it as boring. but rather time to think things through.

Oh Whisper absolutely hates downtime (which is kind of funny because she definitely has her lazy moments). But as you said, it's important for anyone to have some downtime to rest and recuperate! I'm going to try and get more relaxed pictures of whisper down the road- even with all the hacking and slashing she does, I want to capture her down "down to earth" side as well.
...and yes, someone that actually pays ATTENTION to his or her surroundings is indeed a dangerous person- very dangerous~

Let me start off by saying I LOVE how you give all your characters an appropriate background, personality, and even mini stories to give people an idea of how they are. I just sent the last 30 minutes going over each character you linked me, along with their bios, to see which one would best "click" (or in this instant, clash) with Whisper
...I gotta say I think Brazee would be the best fit! She's a sword fighter (perfect for Whisper, although Whisper is more than capable of hand-to-hand combat as well), she seems to be very intelligent and strategic- a must for anyone taking on my girl in battle, and her past has made her stronger and more fierce! I love it...it's the type of character that will prove to be a perfect enemy, possibly frenemy, down the road- depending on the direction of how they meet up. Obviously, we'll discuss the details the closer we get to getting the piece~
And oh yeah, me and Jamie will definitely be fighting! Along with Orlina as well when she gets a bit older

I swear Whisper just needs to invite all her friends to a hot spring, spa, or beach weekend type vacation and get a piece like that of everyone hanging out with her

Yeah, it's not happening anytime soon- mostly because I know it's going to be expensive as crap and I need to figure out an artist and see who would be interested. But I would love a piece with me and a few close friends just hanging out either at a japanese style spa/bath house, beach, or some other group activity~
