This year's commission theme for Anthrocon centered around my R-Force girls having a fun tropical vacation from their superheroing. Here, we see Athena "Valkyrie" Khyran in a rare moment; she's finally relaxing and... smiling! Yeah, even the gruff, stoic bear enforcer of the R-Force can chill sometimes (no pun intended - she's a polar bear). Though she's not much for playing around in the surf like the other girls, even she must admit she likes the relaxing atmosphere the beach provides, and it certainly helps that there's plenty left on her tab for more of those ice-cold beverages at the bar to keep her cool in the summer heat. MitchDLG's was a perfect style to capture Athena's body type and expression here.
