While sculpting new gumdrops, I decided to try my hand at a jackal. And, since the wonders of Egypt are still fresh in my mind, he simply had to be decked out in full golden splendor. (Also, he insisted I name him Anubis, and who am I to argue with my creativity demons?) He's about the size of a nickel.
Sculpy clay and acrylic paints, with satin-finish varnish (at least on the final image w/background) for weatherproofing. :D

Thanks again- I bought one of the litter for Thea at FF. He is nestled among the miniatures in one of our shadow boxes between some beaded moccasins (about his size) and an early-1900s German composition pig. He's doing a great job guarding the underworld..er.. living room :)
