Night had settled its claim over the satyr's home. Similarly, night's gift of sleep had claimed the satyr. As he rested within his soft sheets, another gift of the night began to creep over the horned humanoid: the chill of night. Even under his sheets, little warmth was offered to the satyr. Drawing his legs up and condensing his body did little to stave off the grip of the cold across him. He began to shiver, sleep starting to lose its comfort to him. But, even in the haze of dreams, his mind and heart began to work out the cold. It brought a familiar feeling to him, one of comfort greater than the discomfort he was experiencing. A feeling of a certain one's presence and embrace. As if their paw rested on his sleeping shoulder. A closeness he had come to know and love.

"Master...." the single word echoed in the room from its sole occupant. With that utterance and the feeling of calm it brought, cold lost its power over the satyr. Its presence only served to comfort the satyr, making the horned one feel as if his Master were there, watching over him while he slept.





Whew...that was a thing. Yeah, so, this is a piece that my friend and "pup"  Soul requested from me. Was a little tricky to do, as I'd never done all these different angles before, but I'm happy with how it turned out, and he was too.
