Bucky, an average white tailed deer fur, sat on his sofa flipping through the channels as he idly pet ths smaller dragoness beside him, till suddenly, "A Breaking News Event" broke into the regular programming as a husky in a suit came on and announced, "Attention citizens a Macro Alert has been issued to the city and it's surrounding areas, be advised to check your evacuation packs and local shelters..".

The deer knew of macros he even saw a large grey fox-tuar in a construction zone, he had been watching him for awhile but when he turned to attend to his dragoness and back again the massive taur was now towering over him and the safety fence, "Hi," It began, "I'm Ty..." but before the creature could finished Bucky and his dragon has rushed off.

Bucky got up leaving the TV on as the newscaster droned on as he went to the closet and got out a good sized back pack an took it into the bathroom where he took out a old army first aid kit and began to look through it, "Good everythings here" he mutter seeing that it's contents where up to date having bandages, gauze, antibiotics, sewing kit and other essentials. taking the kit he shoved it too the bottom of the back back when loud beep came over the TV from the Emergency Broadcast System, Bucky ran out of the bathroom pack in hand as the husky came back on looking a bit panicked as he excitedly said" Attention, the Macro Alert has just been upgraded to a MACRO WARNING!!, we take you now live to Ann Ouncer on the scene, the footage cut to a sky blue eastern fuzz dragon as she stood next to a skunk in a commander's uniform, "Thanks Anchor I'm here with Commander Swift head of the macro task force..." she then went deadly silent as a shadow fell across them both as they looked up in fear as just then a large orange scaled paw came down upon them and the camera cut to static then cut back to the news husky who now looked even more panicked... he looked deadpanned into the camera then the station cut to a test pattern as rolling text went across the screen as the EBS alert sounded off, "MACROS IN AREA START EVACUATING ALL OUTLYING AREAS" it read. Bucky's eyes widened as he ran over to a closet and stuffed a towel, a small tin of toys, sketchbook and other art supplies into the pack and he hurriedly went into the kitchen as he began to take out snacks and other food supplied the civilian defence alarm began to wail the deer's heart dropped as a chill ran through him, "Damn..., he whispered, it's less then half an hour away, which was made evident by the house rattling to clink glassware and dishes. He hurriedly packed some of his dragonesses food and treats and as he grabbed her paperwork it dawned on him the she was suddenly missing, closing and donning the pack he rushed into the frontroom, the TV now showing static, "Peppy?!" he shouted looking around worriedly as the house shook more and more, the old air raid siren wailing. He spotted her cowering in the closet, "PEPPY!," he said relieved, "Come on we have to go!!" the small dragoness only shook her head to scared to leave the supposed safety of the closet, "PEPPY NOW!!" he said adamantly and stomped his hoof down on the floor at that same instant as loud roar broke the windows and the siren stopped, but only because now it resided in the front lawn followed by a blue and white police car. Instantly the dragoness leaped into his arms as they both took off out the door. Looking behind him Bucky saw a towering Charizard as it decimated the local municipality building, gulping he turned back spotting the distant bus shelter just as it was about to finish loading the last of the evacuees, "WAIT!!" he yelled but it was too late the bus took off without him just as he reached the bus shelter, that's when he noticed the bus was one of the older models lacking the macro proofing all the newer buses had, watching it pull away he though that odd but he couldn't linger on that cause just then the massive Charizard was there it looked at the small deer as he looked up at the dragon-ish pokemon with dread then it noticed the bus, "Mmmm...lunch" it rumbled. It dawned on the deer that they, and he, were acceptable losses if it meant keeping the massive creature away from the city. As the pokemon went down on the bus it left it distracted from the deer who looked to the bus shelter and was relieved to see it was a refurbished temporary macro shelter spying the force field's generator next to the street lamp, you see the light in the street lamp produced a macro proof shield that envelops around the shelter about 10 ft or so completely sheltering someone or someones completely from macro attacks, he ran over to the generator and began to prime it into start just as the Charizard finished upon the bus. Looking over to the deer the big lizard smiles as he see him floundering with the generator and stomps over to him, "now for dessert, " he murrumbles, then suddenly the generator starts and encases the bus shelter in a half dome of blueish light making the 'Zard bump it muzzle into the impenetrable shield. The buck sighs in relief as the pokemon gets very angry, "Why you little....!!" it shouts and begins to wail and fire attack the dome the deer watches nervously the shield is meant to take a lot of abuse but not for a long drawn out period and the Zard looks like it's just beginning it's assault. Bucky spots the Emergency Call box on the lamp post that'll put him into contact with the Anti-Macro Task Force he runs over to the phone and picks it up, his dragoness clinging to him this entire time, and someone instantly answers "Hello Macro Task Force" came a friendly male voice, "umm... hi... I'm....", "Currently at Deerborn Street Shelter?" the voice interrupted, "Uhh..yea...but how..?.", Not to worry I'm just about there!" the voice said then the line went dead, the buck barely had time to register what happened when suddenly the 'zard's attacks stopped, just in time too cause the generator was overheating. Looking out the the protective shield Bucky saw what was happening with the Charizard, a equally huge anthro Houndour dressed in camo pants and Macro Task Force jacket had tackled it to the ground as they fought with each other the zard opened it's maw with a roar and a huge jet of fire into the houndours face, Bucky meeped in dismay thinking that was the end of his saviour but then a heard a deep chuckle causing the deer to blink in surprize as he now saw that the houndour has now grown larger then the Charizard leaving it with a surprised and panicked look, "Silly zard fire only makes me grow" the large mon said as he now easily pinned the zard to the ground using it's own tail to hog tie it's hands and feet putting the macro in place till the rest of the task force could dispose of the menacing macro. Sighing with content the now larger houdour stood and walked over to the shelter just as the shield sputtered and gave out, the deer meeped as his ears, tail and heart dropped as stared up the mon backing into the shelter as best he could in an attempt to hide, his dragoness whimpering and clung to him the best she could, the two besieged with fear. The huge mon laughed heartily then slowly Bucy recognized the voice as the one on the phone as he spotted the blue tooth earpiece and the smart watch showing map of the area that tracked what shelters where is use, "No fear little one, I'm Captain Skye Vena you can come out now, " he said reassuringly. Ever so timidly the deer stepped out from under the shelter his cloven foot hooves clacking softly one the concrete he swallowed and spoke as he timidly looked at the ground, "Umm..thank you Capt'n Vena..." he began only to be interrupted, "Please, just Skye" the massive houndour said with a smile, "And don't be afraid, " he said using a large digit to guide the deers gaze to him the deer blushed deeply and the mon could still smell the bucks fear, "Thank you for the rescue umm.. Skye...uhhh.." the deer trailed shyly off. The massive mon chuckled softly and shook his head, "Silly micros" he muttered, "You have place to go... ? Oh!, I didn't catch your name little one" the bucky swallowed again as he said "Bucky" shyly and softly, shaking his head, "No sir, that Charizard ruined my home" the deer said sadly, "Well, guess you'll just have to come with me", the mon smiled warmly and held out his palm to the diminutive deer causing him to look rapidly to him and his open palm in which he as his dragoness climbed into, "OH!! I didn't see your pet there!" Bucky gasped softly a bit in fear, "Your not gonna leave her behind are you?" as the dragon spoke up, "I'M PEPPY, AND I'M NOT A PET!!" the mon smiled and shook his head again, No! I wouldn't dream of it" he said placing the two into his jacket pocket, the two shewed in relief as the mon walked off with the two taking them home with him till the neighborhood could be rebuilt again.
