What? Actually releasing an album?
Yes! Well, actually no. An album and a half.
This is Jake Shchavelsky's solo record, his first of so far two. The rest of them are on their way as soon as I can throw 'em at your face.
This one was recorded mostly late last year, from September until about January of this year and features my first ever collaborations on songs, with
thecostumelover and
Nighthowler713 having written music to "Thrifty Consumer" and "The Burning Badger of Bexhill" respectively that I then did the arrangement of and
Anubis038 writing lyrics and performing the vocals on "Victory". The artwork of Jake on the front and back cover was done by
Matiu with me doing the colours in the background of it.
I hope you folks like it!
Currently Out of Print
Note: I know it has Jake's name on it, but Jake is one of my characters, so I did record, produce, write etc all the bit's it says Jake did.

Hehe, thanks~ Nerdy rubber suit him ever so well~ In fact, they were inspired somewhat by those Fernald likes to wear, but in this case, I opted to go for the latex all over, with shorter shorts, and in blue and black~

Me 3 months ago: Finally :D Going to listen to this as soon as I can
Now: Finally actually gave it a good listen.
I really enjoyed this one. The main disc all the way through is really good. The Paranoia Symphony, Fantastical Adventures in Concrete Jungles and The Burning Badger of Bexhill are my top 3. You already know I like Victory because I liked the instrumental so much that I came up with lyrics hehe.
The only thing wrong was that it didn't have the liner notes that you usually have. Oh well, maybe there are some for "The Blue Enigma". I'll try not to wait 3 months to listen to that one XD

Thanks! The second disc just contained anything I wasn't 100% happy with, and the first disc had all the finished stuff on it that I liked properly.
As for the liner notes, yeah, it's a pitty, problem was I felt that if I had stuck it out to write liner notes I might not have ever actually got the thing out the door, ya know? It'd be one of those "oh not that as well, forget this" kinda things. But "Blue Enigma" has something for liner notes, not track-by-track, but it does have a fair bit of stuff.

There's some stuff on here I did carry over and work on; "Hydrotopia" and "Burning Badger", as well as some stuff from Jake's second LP that he's working on. It kinda gets explained plot-wise in the liner notes. But I just kinda wanted to have alternate versions. Since both records were worked on around the same time, I explored different productions to see what suited the compositions.
