I don't see what Kass is so grossed out about. Lopin just looks endearing to me, like a kid excited about getting his grown-up teeth. The process looks like it feels good, actually, instead of the pain and blood *usually* associated with a tooth falling out.
Yes, Kass, breaking that giant front tooth is not a death sentence (or an expensive dentist-mage visit), but just a brief inconvenience.

And the Yinglets are one step removed from animals, which basically means they have the general personality of enthusiastic toddlers. On speed. Everything is "in the now", and getting the old broken tooth out was a big relief, as you said.
Kass really needs to grok the body he's in better.

So this sound odd, but all mammals (as far as I know) have only two set of teeth much like human. It is just herbivore mammals either have teeth that grow continuous (but if they lost the adult teeth it does not grow back) or they have extra wisdom teeth that like human pop up later in life to replace worn out molars. Carnivores and omnivores I think are like humans, you knock an adult tooth out that it. It is gone. More reason for a loin to be careful not get a zebra kick in the mouth. And yes, I have heard of a old toothless lioness who taken care of by her pride by allow herself to eat the soft flesh after they eaten thru the skin and tough muscle. So she can gum down the soft tissue and use her claws to rip chunk of meat to eat.
But most non-mammals regrow thier teeth (only a limited number. So it is possible for alligator to become permanent toothless if lose all teeth too many times but possiblity is pretty impossible until artificial mean .i.e humans) however unlike mammals, most non-mammal are homodont whereas most mammals are heterdont. In other word, a non-mammal like monitor lizard broke teeth biting down on a bone, while that tooth is replaced. The lizards has a mouth full of teeth pretty much exactly like it. A mammal lose a tooth, it is out a canine, incisor, premolars or molar, but with specialized teeth mammal can more effiecently eat thier food to fuel thier high metabolism.
Sorry about biology lesson, but with that in mind. Are they more like a mammal or non-mammal but shell tooth starts out like two normal homodont teeth but secretion or something are fused together as they grow out the gum line?

At first I wanted to wait for your next sketch to leave a big comment since I just discovered your comics, but three days is not that old and who knows how many weeks it'll take for the next issue to come out ? So here it goes !
It was a real treat to read. The world feels alive and cohesive, the character are all well-written and memorable (I can put a name on each face ! That's normally something I have a hard time to do !), even the city has its own, unique identity with a very cool blend of a desert town and hollowed rock building. I was even surprised by the writing quality - I honestly expected Viracroix to be a 2D, mustache twirling villain, but instead I found a sensible, credible human being. I took that guy as an exemple, but it really applies to all of your cast - the more I read about Vizlet, the more this character is growing on me.
And the humor. The humor ! I can't recall the last time a piece of work made me laugh like that. Almost every page had me giggle, and in some cases (like Ran teaching about the male-on-male action with fruits) I even almost choke from laughter. This comics comes at a pretty shitty spot in my life and that kind of genuine laugh is godsend in a time like this.
I was so enthralled in the comics, wanting to get some more, that I even read most of the comments under each sketch ! It feels so satisfying, to sometime stumble on a droplet of background or setting that you explain in greater details there. I think I'm going to compile all these tidbits in a nice folder Really nice of you to take the time to respond to your readers (actually, that's why I'm writting this in the first place, you said numerous time that you like to have feedbacks, so there it is !).
Normally this is the part where I give constructive cristicism, but honestly ? I can't find any flaw. Sure, the drawing was a little rough around the edge in the first pages (something that improved tremendously afterward, don't think that your work on shading and lining was lost on me !), but who cares ?! It got a cool and original setting, interesting characters and a great storyline. Yeah, I really like the parts where you explore the mental changes that Kass undergoes because of his new form. "The mind is a plaything of the body" theme isn't really commonly explored in art, and it's subtle, spaced out and weaved smoothly enough into the overarching storyline that its exploration by the characters doesn't feel like pointless sprinkled to create artificial drama. It's very, very good and I like it.
Unfortunately I don't have the kind of income to support your patreon, but know that I would buy a printed version of this comics in a heartbeat ! Screw the shipping costs to France, this would be displayed right next to my Legends of the Guard and The Complete Calvin & Hobbes copies on the shelf !
Okay, this is becoming way too long. Stay fresh ! (Did I mention that I really like your races and the breath of fresh air they bring to fantasy ? And that Lopin melted my heart in that scene where he shows the new hat he was gifted ? And how Yannit is absolutely charming and please-don't-have-her-go-berserk-she's-so-sweet-and-naive-and-omygosh-she's-so-adorable ? There's too much to write about and not enough space !)

Maaaan, thanks a lot for the detailed post! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the different aspects of this story, especially the characterization, writing, and comedy, because I'm really more of a writer, first and foremost (a writer that's taught myself to draw, specifically).
I really am trying to keep away from cliches and offer something unique in this story, whenever I can, so I'm glad that stood out to you, in things like the Trademaster's personality. I put a lot of effort into that sort of thing, so it's always good to hear that it gets noticed!
And no worries about money-related stuff! I'm just glad anytime someone follows this comic. Although, for just $1 per page, you can get access to all the Patreon-only content, if you ever have some extra money that you need to throw at something!
Thanks again for the nice words. I think you'll really enjoy the stuff that's yet to come.

A lot of times (reading this years later) you are replying to deleted comments. It makes it hard to know what you mean. I am new here, and I know how to hide my comments but not delete them. Is that something FA does? Anyway, while I have you, let me say again "GREAT WORK!"
I actually just spent about 6 hours reading this comic from beginning to here cause I was also watching a movie and now its 5 A.M. and I'm tired and didn't expect to be enthralled in this story
In this 6 hours I have learned two things
1. I am Instantly watching you after this comment
2. I never want to see a jackass movie ever again
Cheers and hope to see more!

In panel five, are Lopin's eyes intentionally drawn like that? I was thinking they looked pretty weird like you weren't finished drawing them, but then I was thinking you wouldn't upload it if you weren't finished. So, I don't know if I really had to ask. It looks fine. I mean, when your tooth is about to come out, your pupils naturally disappear; right? Maybe that's why Kass and Elim are disturbed.
Speaking of teeth, I once had a baby tooth that didn't pop out like it should when my new adult tooth was coming in. Instead, it actually got pushed sideways so that way it went from pointing up, like a normal tooth, to pointing inwards. I've gotten it removed since then.
I don't know why I shared that, but uh… well, there it is.
