I was very shy too when I was smoll/smoller XD. Like I couldn't even talk to people I would just social anxiety. I kind of grew out of it/realized there wasn't much to be afraid about. Because when your afraid to talk to people you lose out on the chance of actually meeting someone really cool like you!

Hey don't feel bad I am 18 its funny because my bf nyna is 22 as well XD. I totally understand the feeling I BEEN THERE! And I still feel like I am there all the time like I feel like its hard for me to connect to people in school. I think really its just people in my school can just be self entitled and such. The world is a scary place and not everyone is going to be nice but I hope I am one that makes things a little less scary to many.
Nynakun doesn't like much people either its not that he hates them but he's told me when he is at my streams in the past he always felt awkward a bit because he doesn't know anyone and doesn't want to feel like he is interrupting or being in the way.
I really think 99% of the population wants to have someone come up and say hi and be nice to them but are afraid to have people come up to them at the same time and be that person to go up to others. Its a common fear and I think you can do it. Don't be afraid of that 1% because those are people that are so happy with themselves they can't be happy with others.
