Alright, so, first off, a little story of what spurred this. Last Saturday, the 17th of June, I got woken up to go for some Father's Day shopping. before getting to a store for cards and stuff, we stopped by a Chick-fil-A for lunch. While we were eating there, apparently it must've been someone's birthday, because this guy working for the neighboring party store was blowing up balloons and making the neatest balloon animals. And one of the ones that stuck out the most from all the things he made was a balloon ANT. Got it down, all the way to the antennae! Might just eat at that specific Chick-fil-A more often...
As for the drawing itself, here's a big shout out to
Finalcord, whose bug drones and stuff are what this honeypot's based on! After a few changes (making the eyes a pair of goggles instead of a single visor and the thorax and legs to be more ant-like than spider-like, like their IX-37), everything's come to fruition!
(As a side note, bless 'em, helping out some random schmo who wanted to try and make a bug of his own. Don't know them, but nice person right there.)
Not sure what name to give it (though I guess HP-96? "Honeypot 1996"?), let alone to make this any official reference sheet or anything, considering this sketch was spawned by both liking someone else's work and a very talented balloon artist. But seriously, check out Finalcord's gallery and maybe see about getting a commission from 'em when they're open.
And to Finalcord, thank you for the advice on this, and (again) sorry for just noting you out of the blue on this!
