mnh. This one reminds me of an old story I read... something about an alien species who actually merges male and female sexes together in order to perform propagation...
It's actually not that far out...! I recall there being at least one species of angler fish that does just this! The male bites the female... stays latched on, vamping out for a time while working to procreate with her...
After a time, the male actually begins to meld in, until it's effectially just a lump with the equipment needed for the female to continue self-breeding when needed...

Anywho, some surprise seems apparent here...X3 The tale I read involved surprise too... when the human male who thought it would be hot to join the hot alien chick ended joining for far longer than he ever intended...

I remember reading about that species! Merging for procreation is one of my secret hot buttons so I definitely feel that, haha.
