Hello, this is a painting of Judy Hopps from Zootopia, Disney's furriest movie yet!
I've decided to make a 3D-esque approach to be closer to the movie and to practice Ambient Oclusion, which is a technique I love so much.
Ambient Occlusion is a technique used to make the paintings feel grounded, obsucring the parts of the character where there's no light. Just pure black. That's why is very easy to implement and you can't argue with the results.
Also, I want to scrap the old one to make the gallery more neat. You can still look for it in the scraps.
