I visited the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita with a friend. I didn’t have my good camera with me, but got a couple of decent shots with my iPhone.

B-36 panel. You might notice a few points of difference.

I worked with an Air Force officer who flew in one of these. The B-36 was an unsatisfactory design, a slow strategic bomber. The engines would frequently catch fire. "Situation normal, 4 turning, 2 burning" was a common report. In addition later models had two jet engines. The pusher configuration minimized turbulence but caused overheating. It was extremely maneuverable at altitude, and had huge lift capacity. Take the virtual tour! http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/me.....0Engineer.html
You are probably correct about the originality.
This was a restoration job. There were some notes on the display placard, but I don't have that handy at the moment I'll let you know if it says anything about those gauges.
While I'm thinking about it, thanks so much for the fave, Frank.
