Arguably I should have posted this submission before this submission.
this was initial concept image for the elemental character and modern Gimmi/Kako.

And to get a little more story into them:
Maa'shta (Which is actually his name here and not a mispronunciation) is a Smoke elemental. He actually started as something like a Fire elemental, but he's... well. Had a rough life. And after so long of feeling kinda shit on by life, he turned into something else. Something more like warm, burning embers. He still has a spark of flame here and there, but life has left this change mostly permanent.

Gimmi is a goblin from a LARGE Goblin family. Like huge. So huge she's not the only Goblin in her family that's a main character in something.
She sorta grew up alongside Maa'shta and watched this whole downslide into what he is now. She's always kinda stuck by his side as a friend and eventually the two grow a closer a relationship.

Kako in this scenario is a tourist from Hell who gets lost on the surface world. She just sort of... attaches herself to Maa'shta and Gimmi after they give her directions one day. And the two just kinda accept it and give her a place to stay. Since she seems harmless enough.
However, her father IS a DOOM-esque cyber-demon, who has a habit of calling at inopportune times.
