Gun Porn, The 1895 Mosin Nagant revolver
Got some range time in today after a good 3 year drought, taking just handguns to shoot.
Here, (though I wish Pook got a closer shot) is my 1895 Mosin Nagant revolver in .30 Nagant. The 7 shot pistol is Soviet made (mines a 1938 Tula Arsenal) is the only revolver made you can actually suppress the sound with due to its design where the cylinder actually moves forward to form a seal with the barrel.
This gun was popular with Soviet NKVD officers to execute hapless prisoners and questionable civilians. Perhaps the AntiFa would be interested in this pistol since they are commie pricks anyway.
Plus this isn't the most accurate handgun made, even at 20 feet the pattern on the target was wide and its slower than shit to extract the spent casings and reload.
But still a ugly neat piece of firearm history. Thankfully PPU Privi Partizan ammunition of Serbia is making commercial grade ammo for it again. Thats alot cleaner to use than the old Soviet stuff.

psst, it's just a Nagant , no moisin, i've got one myself xD
also have to agree, very slow firing and one hell of a trigger pull on it [haven't had a chance to measure it yet] and definitely not something you're going to reload quickly in combat lol
I managed to grab a couple hundred rounds for it a couple years ago when .22 was impossible to find [local cabelas i get my ammo from dragged all the weird calibers out of the back to fill shelf space]. Looked into getting reloading dies for it, but they're over $200 which is astronomical for dies lol
Also, is this the double action "officers model" or the single action "private's model"

My first time shooting a C-7 rifle, which is Canada's licensed reproduction of the M-16 my shots were everywhere. It was the first time with live ammo on any gun, I just don't own any, nor do I hunt. One shot was in the target's left knee, one in the right knee, one through the right elbow, one through the left wrist and the last one through the mouth. My instructor was not impressed with my "grouping"
Inst: That is disgusting.
Me: He's not going to shoot back.
Inst: That's not the point!
They took the time to see where I was going so wrong and corrected me. I could get less than a 6-inch group at 300m after that. Target was a "Herman the German" the bevelled one on the right: http://www.eclecticworks.ca/pics/ta.....rce_Target.jpg

That's a fair point. The army, however, isn't big on offering options.
By the time I left I was scoring a 58/60 in the 100m and 200m shoots, that is considered gold level. Not too bad for someone who never shot a real gun. or pellet gun before donning the uniform.
it did lead to this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10581537/ where I could get hits at 2000m. I was trained on the old 76mm Scorpion turret mounted to a wheeled vehicle. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15127421/ Small by current standards, but still a blast to fire.

Ah! Army is where you first fired shootys, makes sense then.
Aye, they certainly wouldn't be one to just let you settle for knee-capping blokes. ^.-.^
A wee small, but an impressive machine none the less! That and I've doubts as to anyone being relived upon being shot with a smaller bore gun than a larger one. Dead is dead after all! ^.=.^

Mine is single-action only with WW1 dates. I've shot it with handloaded .32 H&R Magnum and the heaviest cast bullets I could find. Lucky to hit a bucket at 20 yards. I also have Soviet and commercial ammo for it. Conversion cylinders for .32 ACP were available but require fitting.
Where is the gun? All I see is some old fat guy pointing at kids to get off his lawn!
I have one of those. purchased it in unfired mint in the box condition. It makes cleaning soo much easier. I don't see where your innaccuracy problems are coming from? in single action it works fine, with decent groups at 10 yards, single handed. At least mine does. Also Fiocchi makes ammo for it, which is better than the old Soviet Surplus.

I used the last of a box of Fiocchi in this, and picked up a box of PPU, which is good clean ammo too. The old Soviet stuff, the cases would actually fracture , the Fiocchi and PPU, good, clean cases that are reloadable.
I tried double action, and it threw lead everywhere, in single action, was far more accurate, though at 20 feet, too wide a pattern.

Hm. I've seen the rifle, the carbine and the long one, forget what it's called, but i didn't know they had a pistol.
My first reaction when I saw the title was
'DAMN THING WOULD BLOW YOUR ARM OFF'
thinking the only loads I've ever seen were the 7.62r rifle rounds. which don't go in a pistol anyways. Amazing the things you learn.
