In Northern, central and parts of Eastern Europe the spirit-of-the-crop is sometimes seen as an animal. In some caes the animal is canine, and in other cases it's a goat or cervid ( [link] ). The Germanic word for such a field-spirit is Korneboke or Konrbok, literally 'Corn-Buck'. I deliberately incorperated unicorn and Ki-rin/Qi-lin elements into this depiction of the Kornbok.
