So yes, here's that little thing I have been working on for a while in the background of many other bits and pieces. It's basicly complete at this point. Gotta craft a back cover for it, some liner notes and I'm ready to throw it at you.
It features Jake Shchavelsky and his lover Walter Wallace who plays drums on it, a Simmons SDSV EXS drum kit (that one with the big ass hexagon pads), with Jake handling keyboards and so forth. The main reason for introducing a proper drummer will become more clear as time goes on. But for now, here we are.
Stylistically, I wanted to go back to the sci-fi feel that I had been doing on Cutting Edge of Ignorance. I also really liked the Genesis record called "Invisible Touch" which kinda had two sides to it in terms of theme and musical concept, one part being "Tonight Tonight Tonight", "Domino" and "Land of Confusion", sort of dramatic and thought-provoking atmospheric-yet-electronic rock pieces, and then everything else being poppy guff. So I kinda wanted to fuse that style with the sort of thing used on Cutting Edge of Ignorance.
I have the "lead single" song to upload in a second, I hope you'll enjoy that as well!
