Aaaand here's the last page of the comic! ^^ This was drawn quite a lot of time after the first two, and that is why it looks quite different in style.
I hope you liked! If you have any criticism I'd be happy to hear it! :)

Glad you liked it! :D
It's indeed all traditional, made with watercolor, even if after I had to retouch it digitally a bit since scanners are never perfect.
He's a member of a feline-like species in my setting, they are not supposed to be a specific cat species. ^^ Their fur pattern also changes depending on where the population lives.

Well of course, digital touchups are needed in almost all cases. Have you come across Scale's stuff before? He does a lot of really nice traditional pieces.
As for the cat... Sounds like how it should be done. You don't see most so-called 'furries' these days putting such things into consideration. Things are what they are for art reasons and art reasons alone, heh. Liking archetypes is more important than liking individual species. Liking cats or canids or whatnot. And a race of a species can have many personality types; it's rare to have a whole race with a specific personality type unless that's an established 'cultural' thing. When thinking small-scale individualism this can be lost on people making short stories. And I'm one of the few people around who outright hates all-species 'furry' worlds. I'll enjoy it where I can if the material is good enough but it's just so unnatural feeling without a damned good reason. (Like, who would design an anthropomorphic elephant or armadillo? Bleh.)
In the artificial species path, one anime comes to mind. Shinsekai Yori. Anthropomorphic mole rats. Hideous things, but they were made with a purpose. And I even had a short story in a furry anthology recently that also used them.
(In case it wasn't clear, I am in support of your fantasy works and approach to art XD)

I did, Scale's art is pretty amazing! ^^ I love his works.
I agree, I'm not a fan of "all-species" settings too, I really can't get into them. I prefer to have very few species (just 4 in my case) each with a particular culture, but still with some variability within the same species.
Oh man, anthro mole rats really sound hideous! XD

Any other recommendations for obscure tasteful traditional art? It gets so exhausting on FA with the oversexed non-sci-fantasy approaches to things. :(
Ooh, here's a good topic. Multi-species relationships. I see so many furry stories where the writer has no knowledge or care for genetics, and even excluding the genetic consequences, they have no care for the world itself that they've created. If your cheetah and gazelle can breed together, then that's the very instant where the cheetah and gazelle themselves should not exist in the first place. If there can be hybrids, there should already be hybrids, thereby removing these 'species' definitions from the beginning. (Exceptions: Fantasy w/coin-flip mechanics, extreme science developments that force the matter ala-Otters In Space series)
There's so many paths to take when mixing artificially created multiple-species that are incapable of breeding, or races of aliens from different worlds. Why must so many writers take an uneducated shallow approach to these things?
Also, humanisms in a non-human world. It's as awkward as talking about smart phones in a medieval piece. :X lolol
And yes. Yes they are: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net.....tated_Rats.jpg

Nothing comes to mind at the moment, unfortunately! :|
I have the same opinion there! ^^ Which is why I decided to keep my own setting way more grounded in reality, without any kind of magic or divine powers, and if two different species decided to mate nothing would happen, unless they were close enough genetically to have an hybrid.
A world with many different species AND hybrids makes no sense, unless said hybrids were sterile as often happens in nature.
HAHAHA Oh gods, that is adorable and horrifying at the same time! XD

The sterile hybrid approach would actually be pretty interesting. I admit I hadn't considered that one before. It'd be a pretty heavy story though. Setting aside any disease potentials (disease is rarely an element of stories unless it's the main element) it seems almost cruel to birth a child that you know in advance cannot further either species. Plenty of dark paths can be taken with that one. "You are a symbol of our love, but you will never have your own symbol with anyone else." Strange...
I do think magic can be done well in a logical setting, but it's really tough. I have some ideas for something like that but I'm not talented enough to bring them to fruition.
How long have you been meddling in the ways of anthropomorphics, anyways? Your type of perspective isn't a common modern one, so it seems like a good question to ask.
(It's a rather good anime! Definitely check it out. http://animeshow.tv/Shinsekai-yori/ )

It would indeed be very sad for the hybrid! The only thing he could do is to adopt someone and bring them up like they were his own child. There's also the option that hybrids are viewed negatively by the population, and that would make it harder as well.
In my setting hybrids are a thing, between very close species, but they are quite rare and usually they are very weak at birth.
Agreed, I also had magic in my setting, but later on decided to do without it. Now it's almost like an "alternate history" :P
Since I was 11 or so, so about 12 years. I didn't have internet until I was 16 and I had no idea the furry fandom was a thing, so maybe that's the reason why my perspective is a bit different, I don't know. ^^ Also, I really like animals and biology, so I try to make my anthros more like believable creatures.
I will! ^^ Thanks!
