A species of flight that is part of the world of Solunerra, the alien world planet that the Zeather thrive in (the main focused alien race in the story atm.)
It is kind of reptilian as it loses it's feathers/down as it becomes an adult (white feathers at hatchling age).
Sometimes the mothers die in egg laying, in turn her mate leaves and the babies would then feast on her if it did so happen. As the mother would not be there to feed them the usual flesh she would have hunted down.
