Well after that unexpected blast, I felt I had to make it up to Abigail. She said she lived on the far side of town, but I insisted she could stay overnight as we needed to talk more about what was going on.
Sadly, she opted for the couch.
Regardless, I had to get up early as usual to get Gabe to school. I was ok with just letting her stay there until I got back, she seemed kinda weird but I doubt she was a straight up thief.
"Hey! Lemmie go with you guys."
I looked up suddenly, "What, seriously? I'm just taking Gabe to school, it's just out of the city a bit. It won't take long."
"Why? Afraid to have a cute girl by your side?"
Well now I just felt like I had my confidence called into question. Gabe looked up at me and looked like he was judging me, as if he already knew what I was going to say.
"All right, you can come. But I don't exactly have a car..."
