Lantern Cats are an undead creation with the body of a typical domesticated cat and it's head replaced by a pumpkin lantern. They tend to be used by socially reclusive necromancers as a sentry or mobile light source. As a monster Lantern Cats are quite weak and usually passive, preferring to run away from attacks. They aren't completely defenceless and can give some nasty scratches if cornered. Fortunately for necromancers and their neighbours, Lantern Cats can't meow nor require cuddles.
