A quick sketch on MSPaint using the default pencil instead of one of the thicker brushes to compare against some of my older work. It shows that a little bit of my art fundamentals have improved over the last five years and it's not all about new tools and tricks that just make things easier. A full-on throwback I'd also have used the circle tool to make the basic head shape and eye.
