While the cyberbrain upload leaves the original personality intact for ease of implementation, a number of safety-overrides and hardwired subroutines are layered over top, ensuring that dronebots act like proper drones of the Formica Empire regardless of how long it takes them to start thinking like one; this "personality filter" can be disconcerting, but most converts quickly grow accustomed to it and soon embrace their role as insignificant members of a greater, exceptional, culturally superior whole.
