Two months ago, I'd posted my first piece of cover art for the "Oriole Sun" - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22141760/ - and now I have another illustration from it, to share with all of you...
The editor of the monthly newsletter for the Oriole Gardens condo community (where I live) in Margate, Florida had asked me to render the cover art for the March, 2017 issue. Above my artwork would be the obligatory quotation, "March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb."
Under any other circumstance, I would probably draw an image of a lion and a lamb that exemplifies said quotation. But this is south Florida, and for the first time in years, my area has had the warmest Winter on record (with daily highs in the low 80s, and only two days in the whole season with low temperatures in the 50s), with hardly any squalls at all. So, I just had to draw a 'role reversal' gag...
In this turnabout, it's the lamb who roars, and the lion is taken aback by her audible action! (BTW, since the "Oriole Sun" is a black-and-white publication, I'll try to add color to this latest image, and post it here in a day or so.)
