I laughed in the end. Men are just like boys, only their toys are more expensive. Very good little piece. I was especially entertained by the dialect. Different accents always amuse me, as I am a non-native user of English myself. Very well done, this is a funny story.

Thank you. That dialect is a lot of fun I think mostly because it is so different than the Americanized Oxford English my father used, or the school teacher correct dialect of my mother. Writing in dialect is new for me, and I think I will continue to explore it.

In all seriousness though, quite funny... The dialect reminded me a lot of my old boss - You never really knew exactly what he meant.

Over time I still am guessing half the time.

I must admit, I never expected that man to show up in a story.....but I suppose I should have.

Oh man, this was delightfully cute. What cant you do with a bass boat, cinder blocks, a chainsaw and the all-important beer.

The dialogue was pretty accurate and entertaining, but I have to warn you: Dialect doesn't mean you don't have to check spelling. Words like "steel" and "deer," for instance, should probably be corrected, and I would argue Damned as well. I also thought 'fired' was kinda weird instead of 'shot' or 'farr'd' or something.

Anyway, it was pretty great. I am from a small town in the south, so unfortunately I know lots of people like Red...
