My roommates and I started writing a DnD campaign and this is my character

He’s a regular dog owned by a pirate captain and when said captain found a treasure that granted him three wishes, he wished that his dog would live as long as him, could speak and understand the common language, and had hands that could hold things, because his dog was his best friend so why not just make him better at being the awesome first mate he already was? The wish spirit, touched by this relationship and the lack of selfishness in these wishes, didn’t even pull any tricks in granting them.

So here we have Max, the talking pirate dog, a Good Boy ™
