A portrait of Kazai, one of the companions available in Trial by Fire (a project I'm working on which may have a name change if I find something I like better or when I check whether or not that name's already taken.)
Kazai (whose name is really a shortening of "the cat's eyes") is an agent in the employ of Aspara.
Kazai is a possible romance, a companion/follower, the first character met in the game, and a fairly major character in the plot. In combat, he has some relatively weak close range attacks (knives, claws) but his main function is as a healer.
Out of combat, he acts as a merchant and sells healing supplies. Despite his looks, he'd very intelligent and loyal. He's a doctor of medicine and the setting is similar enough to the real world that yes, his appearance makes it really difficult for him to get hired, which is most of why he works for Aspara. They're also close friends and he's incredibly loyal to his boss.
