You have a good eye my friend. I bought it off the shelf at a retailer but it was one of thoes tweaked by the Fender Custom Shop in Cali. It was the smoothest playing bass in the place. Had to have it.

I really don't need any more than that equipment shown above. I know there are some really super hot basses out there. But for the kind of music I play. This one's tone and action are perfect. Hell I wouldn't really even know what to do with a 5 string. As far as price? Hard to remember. Bought in 1998. I think about $1700.00. It's a nice peice of gear but it's nothing more than the proper tool I need to work with.

IMO, a 5 and 6-string bass is a total waste of time, 4 strings are already good enough for any songs. Do you use any pedals? Or just the standard bass and amplifier.

Hmm, thats in USD isnt it? Meh, makes no difference in my country...

Have you heard of the Ernieball Musicman Stingray? :p

I had to go look up the Stingray. That looks like a really nice instrument. And no. I do not use any boxes or anything. Not even on my Telecaster. I'm too old and just plain "old school" for that stuff. To each their own though. Many people use effects on bass really well.

Haha, I also use the bass and amp. To tell the truth, i sometimes find bass effects pretty useless at times... :|

I have got to ask...what kind of setup do you have for your paws? I was looking to do something like this, and am kinda concerned about fingering and having the paws mess things up.

Actaully it's stretch fur. There are other solutions to the problem. Cut outs and such. You will probably just have to experiment to figure out what is comfortable to you.
