So a while ago I had my friend
collycat write a short story on tumblr about our sonas. But this was years ago and he's changed his sona since then. I'm just waiting on him to redo the story because he fells he can do better now. So for now, here's the long awaited pic we got about it
[EDIT] Here's the story
There was always one place he could be found if he wasn’t anywhere else.
Alphonse made his way to the car, the only music the symphony of crickets and the rustle of leaves. The occasional twig added it’s sharp snap, but otherwise all was quiet.
Placing a paw on the hood, he tapped a nail against the metal. “Collin, if I come up are you going to be a bitch about it?”
“Fuck you.” came a mutter from the roof, but there was also a shuffle, and a thick tail sliding down over the windshield. As much as he hated to get on top of the damn thing, Al made his way up. There on the roof was a cat, as plump in the waist as the bear and a lot more grumpy looking at the moment.
“I bring gifts of tea.” said the brown bear as he took a seat, and splayed out on his back beside Collin. He slipped a water bottle full of home-made sweet tea, one of the calicos little southern comforts.
And for a while they lay like that. Both dressed up in their pajamas, both silent as they look at the starts above from the vantage point of Collins SUV.
“You should go back inside.” Collin said after a few minutes of this.
“You should tell me what’s wrong.” Al retorted.
He sighed, and instead of spilling his angst, the younger mammal took a sip of his sweet drink, careful to not spill it all over his face. When his arm returned to his side, he let the bottle fall, and his paw slip into Al’s instead.
“I used to do this with my dad sometimes. He’d get these mats out, and I’d hate it ‘cuz they’d poke into my back, but if it was a clear night I’d be damned if he didn’t make me do it anyway.”
Al winced, but unlike the squeeze he gave Collins paw it went un-noticed. “I… I’m sorry, Collin, I…”
His lack of words didn’t matter, the cat cut him off anyway. “It’s not like it matters anymore. He’s been dead to me fer years, I just. I never thought about how I’d feel when he… You know. Actually died.”
Words weren’t always the bears strong suit, so he went with what he knew. Turning his head, making a bit of a rumbling sound from his chest, and nuzzling against the felines cheek. It made him giggle, and turn to the side to press nose to nose.
“You’re a big dumb idiot. I told you to leave.” Collin said.
“And you know better than to think I will, dumb-ass.”
There’s something to be said about kissing under the stars. Al found out that night that he was quite the fan of it.
