Her paws got cold and wet as she ran down the halls, looking up and down every passage for the elevators. Each wall looked more and more like the others, and radioactive water beneath her washed away old floor trails. She kept on going and tried to even dial for Ash, but her phone wasn't responding. "Circuit!" She shouted as she ran, but there was no answer "Circuit!" but the second time she heard other sounds of splashing.
She held her pistol tight and ran after it. She aimed as she turned a corner and she saw something massive. In the dark it was hard to make out more than the outline, but the shape was massive and unnatural. She still looked at it, and it looked back with what looked like six eyes, and then it dashed off.
"Hey!" She shouted and chased after it, "Hey! Get back here!"
But that thing was far faster than her, only after a few seconds she was only seeing part of it as it would flee around corners, and then none at all.
She cursed for a second and them murmured questions to herself "Was that one of their experiments? Why was I even following it?" She started to pant tired and walk, but that's when a new sound caught her hear. A more familiar sound.
"Gah, Hold still you freak!" It was Rift, and he didn't sound far.
Copleand got back to her run and pursued the sound, and the closer she got, the more she heard. Thumping, scratching, shouting, screams, and then there was loud boom.
"You're a subborn bitch, aren't you?" Rift shouted "Well, you'll can just its place!" Then the romping was heard again.
She drew near, and the creature from before ran out into the hall and away from her. "Hey, wait!" Copleand called and reached out, but then a blast of red and purple light shot in front of her for a second. She backed up and the monster turned the corner.
She looked where the blast came from, and then cocked her gone. However she looked back at the hall the thing ran down one last time. "Next time..."
