S.O.B. 22 Introducing the Shabti's Pride
I like to think that Shabti are a bit more dignified than Golems. After all, they don't have emotions… or free will… or… eh, I give up.
Sorry this was late, work's been getting rough with a virus going around and everyone getting sick. Not to mention my cat going in for a declawing, but I'm not too worried… Okay, I am. I mean, I lost all track of the days. But it's here now. Also thinking about moving the postings of this comic elsewhere or making a FB page… Idk, what do ya'll think?

I dunno, sorry....
I like this! And golems are from Hebrew lore, right? I think it goes that long ago some rabbis would knew certain sacred words they could carve onto the heads of clay dolls to bring them to life. I could see why a shabti would get offended. I mean we all know how the ancient egyptians and the jewish people got along AMAZINGLY. XD

Yep, that's pretty much a perfect summary of Golems. The only way to "kil" a golem was to cross out one of the letters in the Hebrew text (which spelled out "truth") so that it then reads, "death". Some stories say that you have to put a piece of paper into its mouth for the one order that it's to follow for the entirety of its existence… that or I'm confusing golem from Puss 'n Boots series… either way.
Personally, I think Shabti's more offended to being compared to a mindless (and frankly disposable) servant that can't even make a decent cup of mud, both literally and figuratively. He is Anubis Junior's CLMSBFQLF and not just a mindless automaton, after all. I can't really say if Shabti are capable of emotions, but this one likes to think that he doesn't have any.
