Did you draw a spline in the outer shape, created a editable poly, beveled it, duplicated it onto the other side, then muti-subbed?

Just want to see if I see what I see. It looks pretty, but you need more polygons + noise reduction.

actually. i started with a cylinder and cut two faces off and mirrored then shaped as i went. the final result is a 8972 poly model from 36 poly mesh i made from a 18 poly cylinder.

That sounds like waaay to much poly's. I think I could do this blade with a quarter of that. D:

Still awesome though, but perhaps you should try spline/plane modelling.

hahah i saw your words on DA i'll get to work on that soon. oh and sorry for the mess i keep leaving up on the building platform. been trying to make a neato armor for a digimon design. you know just out of boredom i think i'm gonna use my prim torturing skills to try and make this sword for you in sl. i'll even try to script it.

i seen some seriously sick design work with single primmed sculpties, i think you could pull it off ^^ and if u do, you will be plain awesome

i just realized sculpty making is a bit out of my area. I normally tend to do stuff with tortured prims. I'll try it tho no matter what. can't promise when it would be finished.

Awesome job Nanaki. I like how broad the sword looks and how small the handle is. It kinda doesn't make sense or something, or that the sword is even grabable, but I still like it.

And somehow this reminds me of World of Warcraft for some bizarre reason.
