Some Yo-kai Watch random art! So what's this about?
Well it's based in the newest opening of the anime in Japan. Usually the theme spoils which Yo-kai will be featured in upcoming episodes and one of them was this red-armored cat, Last Shogunyan (yeah based on The Last Samurai, they got blunt on that one as usual)
In that same opening appeared one trio that was once featured in one past episode segment (which was awesome btw) when the protagonist summoned these following brave-tribe yo-kai:
Shogunyan, Snartle and Lie-in Heart to fight one single foe.
Literally it went overkill.
That was epic but I seriously thought it was one time thing and a mere coincidence as those three are fairly popular yo-kai in Japan (ok Shogunyan is overrated) but turns up that combo happened because they are actually the protagonist's strongest swordsmen yo-kai he knows.
So what's this picture about?
Last Shogunyan is literally Shogunyan's rival and such, as strong as he is, a legendary S-rank yo-kai.
If Nate befriends him, Lie- in Heart will be no longer his 3rd strongest swordsman pal. He will be easily out-muscled as he's just a A-rank.
Of course that's just a theory. Shogunyan, Snartle and Lie-in Heart appeared in the new opening together, which may hint this trio will fight together sometime. Or not. Anyway it was just something I thought.
I'm fine with whatever. Lie-in Heart had several appearances in the anime last year alone so if that's going to be the end of that, it's fine, he got summoned way more often than 95% of all yo-kai :3

That only happened once in one episode segment. It's what made it special. Nate summoned Venoct, Kyubi, Robonyan Model F (that one just because it's overrated, not even that strong), Shogunyan, Snartle and Lie-in Heart to fight against just one D-rank foe. And then summoned Lord Emna.
It was overkill but funny enough.
At first I wondered why he decided in those three last mentioned together, as Lie-in Heart is just rank A, naturally not as strong as Shogunyan and Snartle. In that time I thought that happened just because Lie-in Heart is mildly popular. (I mean not in the standards of Venoct, Kyubi and others mascots but still way better treatment than most of the others)
Then I checked a list of yo-kai Nate befriended so far and noticed from the Brave tribe, more precisely in swordsmen, he's indeed within his top 3.
Which won't be anymore if Last Shogunyan joins in.
