My primary fears are based on the safety of my loved ones who are trans, queer, and racial minorities. Though a woman and also queer, I have a lot of privilege myself in that I am white and in an outwardly heterosexual looking relationship. Trump and his monstrous VP Pence have already proposed laws (and passed laws in his home state, in the case of Pence) that will restrict the freedoms on LGBT citizens. Pence himself has diverted funds from HIV treatments to literally electrocute gay kids into being straight, and had a woman jailed for a miscarriage. Trump has pieced together a terrifying cabinet including an EPA head that doesn't think the environment needs any protecting, a Labor head who doesn't believe in organized labor unions, and a Secretary of Education head that believes in defunding public education. Trump ran on a platform of misogyny and hate, bragged about sexual assault and made fun of disabled persons. The KKK itself endorsed him and hate crimes have been on the rise since his election.

Personally I very much wish my tax money were not going to war, and that more of it went to welfare, education, and medical aid. I am a pacifist, as stated in my description. I've never lived in a war zone, no, though my heart breaks for those who do (and I wish my country were more hospitable to refugees), and I fear the American experiment may come to a bloody end within the next couple of years if we are not vigilant.

I have first hand experience with Soviet weapons from the Mosin Nagant 1891/30 up to the AK74 and none of them did really impress me at all. Except for the polish made PMKMS. The soviet AK74 I handled were shitty made. Internals were cast and not in a quality way. East German and Polish AKs were MUCH superior.
And AK74 vs M16A2/M4? Eugene Stoners brainchild hands down. No question, vastly superior. Same with airplanes btw.
T-90? you know what the "ring of fire is"? No? It makes your turrets pop when hit. Also Strange that you do not like our Shermans. In fact a lot of soviet tankers prefered it to the T34 as the survival rate was much better and they ALL came with radio and high quality optics. The neighbor kid pointed a nerf gun at my husband and yelled, "you're the illegal immigrant - die!" That is... not a normal thing for CHILDREN to internalize.
And absolutely, sure, even if that were true, Clinton's remarks are clearly worse than an actual literal rapist like Trump. /sarcasm

At least three people, including a 13 year old. I don't believe for a second that dropped charges mean he's innocent. Victims of rape frequently drop charges out of fear. The man himself bragged about grabbing women "by the pussy" and objectified women, rating them out of ten, and there are direct accounts from women working on his properties of his harassment. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

There are other ways to handle it. The right to vote isn't much of a right if you don't have a choice about whether to vote or not.
Oregon state recently passed a law that automatically registers you to vote when you get or renew your driver's license or other state ID unless you opt out. Actually using that registration is another story, of course, but you are registered.

I have mixed feelings on mandatory voting! As Reve noted, it does technically result in slightly less freedom, but as you note, forced participation would mean more folks paying attention which could be a very positive thing. I do like the middle ground of, at least, automatic voter registration and also efforts to reduce and eliminate rampant instances of voter suppression that portions of the US suffer from. The whole ordeal is a gigantic mess as-is. Moreso than compulsory voting, doing away with the electoral college is a topic being discussed more and more. Honestly I'm not certain why acres matter more than individual people, and it's proven itself useless as a safeguard, so it's time for it to go.
