Kuroda Umeko

Umeko comes from a distant colony world on the fringes of the NAW territories where she was created as a companion for her master. While technically a slave her owner never treated her as such but rather like a pupil and lover once she became of age. While growing up she had a varied education including swordsmanship with different types of swords as well as music and arts.

When her master passed away she inherited all his belongings allowing her to leave the colony and lead her own life as a free person as his final gift to her. So she travelled through space for a while, eventually ending up on Chakona where she was offered a job at the Azure Dreams as soon as their scouts found out about her. Her training as a geisha alone were highly valued to the business, but her resemblance to a kitsune along with her abilities made her even more desirable for the job. It took her a while to settle in but she now enjoys the work quite a lot even if it might not have been her original plan of what to do with her life.

Amongst her abilities she possesses several mental talents such as telekenesis for one which allow her to perform tricks that mimic magic to fit with the image of a kitsune she was created after. Another trait she has to better resemble a kitsune is that she grows another tail once every ten years, which takes around 7 months to fully grow. During those seven months she needs to eat quite a lot more than usual to allow her body to grow the new tail.

While she is quite content with how her life turned around so far she still does feel rather lonely as she still dearly misses her late master, unsure if she could ever love another again in the same way.
