What a breath of fresh air! Such vivacity, life, and feelings abound!
...Hm? Nanako... That name seems oddly familiar, doesn't it?
You would be right in thinking that x3 although it's been quite some time since the lively Mimiga last appeared in my gallery, I felt that it was time for another go at her; an updated look, you could say! And what an update it is...~!

Now she looks familiar, no? ;3c
It's hard to believe that was (nearly to the day) six years ago! So much has changed with my style since that day, and it's incredible to see how drastic and different these changes are from my 2010 works, where I began toying around with digital artwork on my tablet n.n Sadly, not a whole lot was seen from my tablet during that time. The Genius 8x5 Mouse Pen tablet was a good starting point, but I couldn't quite adapt to it the way I would have liked to have. Needless to say, if I had applied myself a bit more, I likely would have gotten the hang of it. Then again, without the things I'd done at that time, much of what we see here and now wouldn't have developed to the state that it currently is n.n
I'm pretty proud of this drawing =3 It's simple, took more time than it ought to have, but I was enjoying making this drawing for a special someone ;3 and I'd have to say I'm pretty happy with the results!
Mimigas captured my heart when I began playing through Cave Story between 2009 and 2010 respectively. I'd had my PSP modded at the time to play games, and one game that had been ported to the PSP was Cave Story. The game was really quirky I remember, and I thought to myself "It's really bizarre playing a Metroidvania game like this with surprisingly decent feeling controls." I liked how fluid the gameplay was, but put off playing the game for nearly a year, until rediscovery of the game in early 2010 when I wanted to put more games on my PSP. I then discovered that Cave Story was also for PC, and downloaded it. Within two days (because good lord I could be such a procrastinator...) I had the game beaten, and thus began my love for the Mimiga species.
2010 and 2011 were a great year for Mimiga artwork in my galleries. It's a pity I have so many responsibilities and new things around me to distract-err... capture my attention. I still enjoy drawing Mimigas, and drawing Nanako was a pleasure to do again n.n
It's great to have you back, Nanako n///n
Nanako belongs to me.
Cave Story and Mimigas belong to Pixel.
Maybe I should draw Ariel the chubby Mimiga sometime... n.n
