Nami was a creature whose curiosity got the better of her. Curiosity killed the cat, so they say. She was always trying to find the perfect place she could take photos of her with her friends with her camera. When she died, a flood had carried her underwater, drowning her. She became a Soulfox because she was unable to take the perfect photograph with her friends (who are now separated from her, leaving her with none).

Because she can't stand her appearance, she's afraid of having her photo taken, and hides from cameras.
