Backstory:
Once, she had a wonderful family: a mother, father, and a younger sister. And for many years, Lynzie's life was filled with joy and happiness. Her mother was the first blessed of Bliss, and ultimately, an avatar of the wondrous Goddess. It was through Bliss that her mother was able to conceive her and her sister. It was Bliss who helped them through their rough times, and brought family and friends together when the time arose. Bliss was the world to Lynzie - without Her, there would only be sadness and despair. Something which ended up befalling upon her, and everyone in her life.
Oran Solisive, King of Tepestria, saw what her mother and the community formed around her was up to, and deemed it ill in his eyes. By his word, the Group of Seven condemned this Society of Bliss as a cult which sought to disrupt the righteous foundations of their kingdom, and must be taken down. Soldiers forced their way into houses and took members away, never to be seen again. One of such was Lynzie's father.
Her mother rose up, using her powers to strike at the Tepestrian soldiers who threatened their very lives. But as she did, she started to delight in her actions. Using the powers of Bliss to forcibly transform and reshape those who did not agree with her...it was corrupting her. Lynzie tried to call her mother back, but it was to no avail. And worst of all, her sister, Jessie, went along with her mother, and together, the two decimated the contingent sent to take apart of the Society of Bliss. Others had rallied behind them, relishing in the defeat and suffering of the Tepestria forces, despite being of the same blood. Her mother's ideals of happiness twisted into something horrific and her sister standing by to serve her in any way she could, with a heavy heart Lynzie had no choice but to abandon her family.
For years, she remained in hiding, trying to come to terms with what happened. Despite all that Bliss had done for them, her mother and sister turned to the dark side of life. Her mother, the first blessed of Bliss...gone. She struggled...but she was not alone. Bliss came to her, as She had done her mom, and helped Lynzie through this. In time, Lynzie embraced Bliss fully into her life once more, and just as her mother was, she too was blessed by Bliss. She took it upon herself to rebuild the wondrous community that her family had made so long ago, and went straight to work in the nation of Cartria, far across the ocean from Tepestria. Though Oran Solisive's rule has ended, the Cult of Velirai now rules in the shadows with the same viciousness that Oran once had toward their own.
It was a struggle, especially since people were becoming more cautious and careful, with science, culture, and what they know of magic now to sway people's opinions away from seemingly surreal concepts such as "pure bliss". But in time, the Society of Bliss had been reborn, in a new age, and with new hope, that it'll continue for years to come. Lynzie can only hope so. It's all she wants: to help people find their happiness and inner bliss in an increasingly darkening and negative world, to open them up to the wonders Bliss has for them, and to share it with everyone in the world.
Anyone remember this gal? ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15440833/ ) Well, after two years, she's finally been reborn as quite a different character! Though I didn't really go into details how she ended up like this. I'll leave that up to people's imagination~ =D
I ended up returning back to my usual style with this picture. But I was still a bit rusty with it, and the lines didn't come quite as clear in some spots as before, but in time, I got through it. Back to doing my drawings at 5 x 6 inches, with a 5 sized g-pen. However, for next time, I might try going smaller, as I did fiddle with the pen settings in Clip Studio a bit, and found something that might work.
