If the armor and powerful arms weren't enough, the bug will flick it's tail to release dozens of seeds around it's territory, and create a loud vibration with it's wings to stimulate the seeds into growing. The tempo of the vibration will cause the seeds to change and grow into different variations. You want thorns? sure. Poisonous to the touch? why not. OH YEAH, it's eyes are located on it's forearms.
