Try as you might you can't make everyone like you. Some people will never like you just because that's how they are. No matter how polite or kind you are they won't like you.
You have a need and anxiety to make people happy so this only makes you feel like more of a failure.

Try all you want to steer someone you love in the right direction, give them love, safety, welcome them into your home and family, and practically raise them, they will still hurt you and betray you and it makes you realize they can't be changed."
