Biographical Data
Diana Lynwood is a member of the Aldrisian nobility. Her mother is the leader of her people. Diana formerly resided in the city of Aldris, a legendary place removed from our reality by way of magic. After defending the world from numerous threats in time they found themselves at the mercy of the various powers and groups that sought to seize control of their city. Forced into exile, the city pulled itself away from our reality and into a pocket dimension where its people have hidden for generations.
As a member of the nobility Diana was well educated and trained in the art of archery. She is an expert in the use of the Aldrisian bow and arrow. Her tail is docked and her ears were cropped as a matter of noble fashion, though common citizens do not participate in this practice.
Diana shares a friendship with Stephen, the deer stationed to guard the Aldrisian side of the Crossing.
Personal Statement
"My name is Diana Lynwood and I am far away from my home. I lived in a city known to the world as Aldris. Many consider it a myth. Those that do not would hunt me across the continent for what I wear around my neck, the only way to access my homeland.
When I was old enough I began to explore the world outside whenever I could sneak through The Crossing. I was careful and always managed to return before the gateway to our city shifted to another location. One day something went wrong, and I missed my way back. Trapped in this new world I struggled to stay one step ahead of the Red Guard, who came looking for me.
I found my way into the company of a pair of merchants, named Ethan and Rhodes. They took me in and offered to help me find my way home. Now I travel with them in the hopes that one day I can return to my home of Aldris. The only problem is, to do so I'd have to leave the bird I love behind."

I've always liked her look, she strikes me as the graceful lady type. She just looks dignified, either standing still or in motion. She's also got that gravitas that clearly conveys she's got fighting ability. You know not to try to put your hands on her unless you want her to kick your ass. :)
She's beautiful. I love her outfit and the character concept. Grace could certainly sympathize with being exiled from a home you don't know how to get back to, though Aldris sounds like a much friendlier place that Grace's old home. All this reminds me I really do need to read more of your stuff. I read the story where she got her necklace stolen and loved it!
She was the first character to develop from this concept. When I decided years ago I wanted a fantasy universe, a scifi/fantasy universe (which later became the same universe), a post apocalyptic story, and a slice of life story, and later a werewolf series.... I thought about fantasy, and all the elements I wanted to include.
I wanted Diana's part of the universe to have magic but I don't like the style of magic system where it's a catch all for all problems or cures anything instantly. Magic must have rules and costs.
So I envisioned the idea of a city removed from our dimension and the gateway jumping from point to point at random to minimize the possibility of it's discovery. Inspired by a few different things I combined a couple ideas until the concept of Aldris formed. The first time I'd tried to conceptualize the story I thought 'when does the story start', and thought it begins when Diana meets Ethan and Rhodes, and they try to help her get home. Of course, the story can't end when she gets there, so I had to think on that as well.... What's evolved since then, especially combined with the other two parts of the universe are now significantly more complex. ;)
We can certainly use beta readers if you want to help us. :)
