"Whoa!" gasped Asgore as he took in all the damage that the nursery had taken. "What happened here?"
Toriel made sure her 'Asriel' was facing out towards the potted 'Water Dogs' in the hall while she continued to comfort him.
"I don't know," she replied. "But it tried to hurt Asriel and I didn't know who else to call."
Asgore did his best to hide how he felt like this could be his chance to get back together with his ex-wife.
"You can count on me, Tori," he said confidently. "I'll keep you and the baby safe."
"Thanks, Asgore," sighed Toriel while continuing to pat the diapered bottom of the dino-duckling. "I'm going to go out and buy a basinet and some new Temmie Cloth to fix this little guy's pajamas. Could you keep guard while I'm gone?"
"Do you have any of that butterscotch-cinnamon pie?" grinned the bearded goat.
"Help yourself," she replied.
KA-CLICK!
KA-THUD
Toriel turned her head as Asgore reached for his tucked-away Trident.
"Whoa!" cried Sansnard upon coming by the baby's room. "MILF and DILF!"
"Uncle Nards!" cheered Asriel. "Uncle Nards!"
Asgore looked towards Toriel with disbelief as the goat mom blushed.
"You'd have him around a baby over me?" he asked without much thought.
Toriel nodded.
"He's not a 'bad man who hurts people'," she replied with a grumble. "I'll take potty jokes over what you did any day."
"Speaking of 'potty'," stated Sansnard while pointing up towards the dino-duckling who was suckling his one hand while reaching towards the bleach-white hamster with the other. "I took care of that little snake in the grass you had in here."
Toriel gasped and rushed out of the nursery.
"You saw what got in here?" she asked fervently.
"Yup!" beamed Sansnard while striking a pose and wiggling his rump. "It won't be stalking you, or the baby, ever again."
"What was it?" asked Asgore.
"A nasty weed of a monster that doesn't know when to leaf go of things," replied Sansnard.
Toriel and Asgore looked at each other with the same, baffled expressions. Neither recalled ever meeting Flowey due to his former abilities to manipulate the 'Time Line'. However, Sansnard and Frisk knew about the monster, what it was capable of, and what it sadly represented.
"How do we know you are telling the truth?" asked a most authoritative Asgore.
"Hmm," pondered Sansnard. "I guess you have me there."
SNAP!
The white hamster snapped his fingers as his magic eye glew brightly.
PWOOF!
"What the...?" wondered both Toriel and Asgore as they noticed two boxes appear on the hallway wall. One read 'Continue' and the other 'Edit'.
"Time for me to go," said Sansnard while pushing the 'Edit' box.
THWIP!
The feeling of feathers and scales against Toriel's body was replaced with that of soft fur.
"As...," gasped Toriel. "Asriel...?"
There was no doubt, the son that Asgore and Toriel had thought they had lost to the humans was now a newborn suckling on his hoof over his mother's shoulder.
"It can't be...?" wondered a most elated Asgore.
Sansnard smiled as he took hold of a naked, dino-duckling.
"You can thank Sans for this second chance," stated the bleached hamster.
"Sans?" wondered Toriel.
The cheeky hamster pushed the 'Edit' button again. This time, the two boxes disappeared while Sansnard and the dino-duckling were instantly replaced with Sans and papyrus.
CLICK
There was a brief pause as time-and-space caught up with the actions of the hamster.
"Toriel! Asgore!" proclaimed Papyrus. "I brought the gift of myself to celebrate the birth of your baby!"
Sans' magic eye flickered as he, unlike the others, knew what had just happened.
"Yes," stated Sans while pulling out his whoopee-cushion. "You two are going to be changing loads of diapers filled with..."
FRRT-SQUEAK-FRRT
Asgore and Toriel laughed at their friend's silliness.
"Isn't he beautiful?" Toriel asked to Asgore while offering the bearded goat a chance to hold their son.
"Perhaps," gestured Papyrus. "He can grow up to be nearly as awesome as me!"
Everyone was happy and completely unaware, with the exception of Sans, of how this momentous reunion was made possible. They also had no idea that the nursery had also been repaired amidst Sansnard's 'Edits'.

Meanwhile, in another world, Sansnard and the dino-duckling were facing each other. However, Sansnard had now become a cream-colored hamster with grey spots and a long, fuzzy tail.
"Well," remarked the cheeky hamster as he pulled out a magical, rainbow-colored paint brush from somewhere on his body. "What should we do next, Yosh?"
Yosh, the dino-duckling, didn't remember a thing. However, he did blush when he realized he was standing naked in front of his friend in the middle of an open field.
"Eep!" he cried. "How did I end up here like this?"
"Oxnard!" called out an orange dinosaur in a green vest who was accompanied by an elderly, yellow penguin.
Oxnard tucked the magical paintbrush away and greeted the approaching pair.
"Hey!" called the hamster. "Come see Yosh's feathery cotton balls!"
Yosh quacked with embarrassment as he felt his bladder release for no justifiable reason.
"D'aww," cooed Oxnard. "I'm sure Macaroni Penguin will be more than happy to help you with that, buddy."

Back in the world of Toriel and friends, Flowey found himself completely drained of all his SOULs and had realized that he was now at the very center of a giant field of sunflowers.
"I...," he sighed while folding in his petals. "At peace..."

Not so much. *Shrugs* I kind of tried for something where, based on what I had learned through the game and looking up some things, how Sans was always kind of aware someone was messing with the Timelines. This made me think of how, in some instances, doing alterations could result in positive outcomes.
In "Further Realms", Oxnard has acquired quite a bit of power by having befriendedthe planeswalker, Nishidor, and Tealeon. This power could allow him, at any time, to visit other worlds and have come across Sans. So, they conspired to use their respective powers to create, or 'Edit', a far better outcome for Toriel and Asgore. :)
In the end, only Sans and Oxnard knew what really happened. Yosh was 'volunteered'. ;)

There are many works by
leonXIII that I need to get to. There are also stories on "FiM Fiction" that are quite adorable that I'm trying to make time for as relaxing reads. Lots to read.
What story are you most eager to continue right now? KS, or Tsurgdari?

It's great when you have multiple options to work on. There are two that I need to work on, but I also have a third in hiatus as well.
1: Silmaria
2: The City of Solitude - (Welcome to Saurral Manor Finale)
3: Project: Ezil
It's a tough call between "City of Solitude" and "Project: Ezil". I'll have to see what I'm in the mood for when I can get writing for myself again. :)
I'm glad you never run out of ideas, Lanny. Keep on writing and being awesome!

Hehe aww, there's a neat lil twist, I wasn't expecting that! :3 It's cool that Yosh and Oxnard got to interfere a bit, slip into their story, and make things a little nicer for the goat family! Yosh's Asriel name makes more sense now - and he got some time with mama Toriel before switchin' back with the lil goaty. :3 The ending makes plenty sense to me! and even if foks are unfamiliar with it - I think it's clear we both got back from switching places in-game and are free to... do exactly what Yosh just did. ;P Yipe!
Thanks so much for joining me in this tale of healing. I'm honestly glad I was able to do all I just did without any use of vision at all. I remembered, thanks to proper naming, what most images were in my folder and used them accordingly while writing the entire story only in the FA submission process. It was inspirational, fun times!
I'm really happy you are happy with how everything turned out. It 'felt' natural to have it go this way. It felt quite natural while allowing a fun way to bring Asriel back. I'd figure, for as much as I'm sure Toriel and Asgore missed him, that even Sans would be cool if conspiring to figure a way to bring him back to life, if at first as a newborn. Sans may not have his chance with Toriel, but he always striked me as a "Thinking of others" kind of skeleton. :)
And, as for 'Sansnard', I know he was also a thoughtful Ham-Ham who only had everyone's interests at heart. And, sometimes, you end up getting a little something yourself when you're such a nice guy. ;)
