Ah well no there is not war going on, STF world is based on RL events with some changes since the vehimechs came to being in the 1960's so in present day like for example theres still the afghanistan Iraq thing going on just with Vehikechs in the Marines/Army Rangers
As for relationship its pretty stabie thanks to the creator of the vehimechs Edmond for being there human ambassador but that doesnt stop racisim and sometimes in some militarys and Other places like nasa tend to sometime treat vehimechs as Machines
