Undead in armor makes me want to revisit my old concept of "fantasy steam/diesel/industrialpunk" WW1like-era cuirassier continuing to fight on the "modern" battlefields in armor and on their horses despite machines guns/artillery thanks to their undead status allowing them to actually wear heavier armor without the effect of fatigue and generally shrug off the "machine gun" part of things.
