This was actually inspired by three things, really. First off,
Ryusuta's submission here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/21401258/ ) was the most prominent inspiration of all, with the second being the mechanization/semi-mechanization of many of the enemies in Kirby: Planet Robobot (yes, some boss enemies are mechanized, too). And the final one that got me to actually draw this up was a little roleplay involving a bit of robotization/mechanization in a little group!
On this model here, it should be noted that the Aura Sensors (the protrusions hanging from the back of the head) and body spikes (both chest and arms) are now created as hard-light structures, and can either be activated or deactivated by will, or when power must be conserved (if you've seen Halo's hard-light bridges, you could relate these to that very technology).
A battery meter is placed on the end of the tail, depicting how much energy is left; a further indicator of remaining energy are the LED eyes - when they're green, that's a relative healthy charge, from 51-100%; yellow indicates 26-50%; red indicates 11-25%; and when the eyes start flickering red, that presents a charge between 0-10%. When power ranges from 1-15%, the star icon (icon can be altered between models) next to the battery meter will no longer be lit until the charge is returned to a higher percentage.
Ears are capable of swiveling and turning in a similar fashion to a natural organic's ears in order to pick up sounds from different directions. Despite the appearance of hinges and joints giving the idea of inhibited mobility, movement is still extremely close to the organic variant's.
"Aura" is produced through the hexagonal-shaped areas on the palms and feet, and can also emit electrical energy ("Arc" energy) as well.
I'd say height and size is relatively equivalent with the normal average for its organic variant in species, although that can be potentially be altered amongst different models.
Anywho, hope you like this little idea, and go ahead and check out Ryusuta's gallery there, maybe give it a Watch! (unintentional artist advertising, no?)
