The Kitty Hawk Class Carrier is a hybrid of the Hyperion and Nova class starships, but with a carrier role. This class served with distinction during the Earth-Minbari War and particularly at the Battle of the Line during the final hours of the conflict. The EAS Mitchell's crew rigged the nearly crippled vessels fusion-reactor as a group of Minbari warships closed range and took several of the 'bonehead' vessels with them. Another Kitty Hawk class starship "lost" during the E-M War (the EAS Feldmann) was later found wrecked on a low-gravity planetoid where a fair number of the crew survived and created a make-shift settlement.
